Srinagar, Apr 23 (KNS): Raising fingers on the so called government probe of Handwara incident, Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman, and Hurriyat leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan today strongly condemned the suspension of government employees who raised their voice against the atrocities of the men in uniform.“Suspending government employees for raising their voice against force’s atrocities is nothing but to punish Kashmiris and make them understand that they are slaves,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said in a statement to KNS.
He expressed concern over the suspension of government employees in Kupwara district and said, “It is an irony that instead of arresting those who are involved in civilian killings the so called administration has started targeting those who take part in protests.”
Nayeem Ahmad Khan said this vindicates our stand that inquiry commissions set up by the so called government after every civilian killing are only meant to shield the perpetrators.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“How disgusting is this that instead of arresting the killers the so called administration has started a well designed campaign against the protesters,” Nayeem Ahmad Khan said adding this is a clear message that people living in the disputed region have been deprived of right to protest.
Nayeem Ahmad Khan said that this attitude at the so called government level will further alienate the masses hence pave way for further protests.
He appealed human rights groups to take a strong note of the suspensions of government employees and make sure that dozens of families may not suffer due to the arrogant policies being imposed in the disputed region. (KNS)
