Strongly condemning the fresh arrest spree in Srinagar, Anantnag and other parts of the valley, National Front chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan Monday said government is not even spearing pro-freedom youth in the month of holy Ramadhan.
In a statement to KNS Khan alleged, “Police have spread a terror among the youth in Srinagar and Islamabad to the extent that dozens of them have left their homes. Even their parents are terrified because they have been given deadlines by police to produce their wards or get arrested themselves.”
“Harassing, terrorizing or arresting youth would fetch nothing but violence because once the younger generation feels that it is being pushed to wall, it will react and its reaction will be more forceful than action against it,” he said and condemned the administration the way it deals with the situation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said that authorities even banned many religious functions during the ongoing Ramadhan, which speaks volumes about the “negative attitude and approach of the so called rulers.”
Khan warned that if police action against the youth is not stopped, and people are not given right to express their thoughts it will bring only disaster. He said that actions against pro-freedom people and the leadership will culminate on a massive outcry against the atrocities being committed on the highest level of governance.
Meanwhile, Khan paid rich and glowing tributes to late Mahajr-e-Millat Moulana Mohammad Yousuf Shah on his 48th death anniversary. Nayeem Ahmad Khan said that late leader was a visionary who understood the designs of New Delhi at the right time.
