Srinagar, August 05 (KNS): With the consideration of keeping its field staff i.e. Physical Education Teachers well versed with the latest developments and amendments of Rugby, Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K has started a four day long National Level Orientation Training programme in the game of Rugby here.
At the Inaugural function of the training programme at Gindun Sports Complex Rajbagh Srinagar, Director General of the Youth Services & Sports Department Jahangir Mir while speaking to the participants of the National Training Programme highlighted the importance of remaining updated about the latest amendments made in the rules and playing method of various games. He further said that the basic purpose behind the organization of such programmes is to keep the field staff, which is the backbone of the department updated with the latest developments in the field of games and sports. He assured that such programmes will be a regular affair hereafter.

Selected Government Physical education teachers from 12 states of the country and 13 districts of the J&K State will receive both indoor and outdoor training and orientation sessions in the ongoing training programme. To make the sessions of the programme more effective, free game equipments and other training material is being provided to the participants of the Orientation Programme.
Deputy Director Central J&K Youth Services & Sports Haji Mirza Hussain, Publicity officer of the Department Azhar Hajini and other senior members of Rugby Association and Officers of Youth Services & Sports Department were present on the occasion.
The mega training programme is being organized under the aegis of School Games federation of India (SGFI) by Youth Services & Sports Department in collaboration with Indian Rugby and J&K Rugby Association.
