Srinagar, Mar 2 (KNS): National Front district Baramulla held its meeting on Wednesday which was presided over by party general secretary advocate Hilal Ahmad Wani.
In a statement issued to KNS, the party expressed anguish over the house detention of Nayeem Ahmad Khan who has been made a prisoner at his residence since last two weeks. The meeting also discussed the prevailing political situation.
Advocate Hilal Ahmad Wani while condemning the administration for its undemocratic acts said, “Nayeem Ahmad Khan has been placed under house arrest without citing any reasons.” He termed Nayeem Ahmad Khan’s detention as illegal and said that such kind of state terrorism has no place in the present civilised world.The meeting also condemned the detention of Freedom party chairman and Hurriyat leader Shabir Ahmad Shah, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader Raja Mairaj ul din Kalwal and others.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelStressing upon immediate release of its chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan from continuous house detention, Advocate Hilal Ahmad Wani also condemned the latest arrest spree at the hands of police in nook and corner of Kashmir. He especially condemned the arresting of youth in Palhalan and raiding of their residences.
Advocate Hilal Ahmad Wani said by arresting the pro-freedom leadership including Nayeem Ahmad Khan every now and then India wants to kill the Kashmir dispute. However he said that such oppressive measure are sure to fail against the steadfastness of leaders like Nayeem Ahmad Khan. (KNS)
