Srinagar, Jun 30 (KNS): Stressing for a need to undertake a mega developmental initiative, National Conference leader Farooq Ahmad Shah has expressed dismay for what he said- pushing the development of Gulmarg Consituency at the back burner by its political representatives from last 16 years- Sunday said, that development was the only key to prosperity and progress.
Addressing multiple public meetings at Usaan, Chukar and other areas in Tangmarg Consituency, Mr Shah said that his sole intention of joining politics was to undertake a mega developmental drive in these and other areas -as he would feel pained to see his own area _where he was born and brought up being- ignored despite it being at stone's throw from the summer Capital , Srinagar.
While welcoming the scores of political activists including youth who joined NC in his presence, the former decorated Commissioner Secretary said that National Conference was a movement rather than a party which envisaged the aspirations of the common kashmiri and remains the driving force for many like him to join the fold.
He said, the party's leadership including Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah would usher a new era of prosperity and development in the state.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The NC leader who has been on a public outreach campaign eversince he joined Politics earlier this year, further said that Gulmarg Consituency would be developed on modern lines where people will have access to almost every facility like Education, roads, infrastructure, Tourism, Electricity etc.
He also said that Youth would be provided facilities like Job oriented courses, skill development, Tourism related activities etc. So that they can not only ensure their own success but also lead from the front in contributing towards the overall development of the Consituency.
He added that his focus would be to launch a developmental revolution in the Gulmarg segment involving people from all walks of life to ensure that the progress reaches to every corner of the Tourism famed Constituency.
Mr. Shah was accompanied by Party senior leader Shaukat Ahmad Mir and other block presidents and activists.
A large number of youth also participated in the meetings who assured the NC leader of their full support. (KNS)
