Srinagar, Dec 23 (KNS): Provincial President National Conference Nasir Aslam Wani Wednesday castigated Mufti government for thwarting the voice of opposition after police detained scores of Youth National Conference leaders and activists at Kothi Bagh Police station.
“By arresting youth leaders Salman Sagar, Imran Nabi Dar, Mudassir Shahmiri, Ahsan Pardesi and scores of YNC activists for the crime of raising their voice against government inefficiency in a peaceful protest rally, Mufti Sayed govt has once again proven that his idealistic talk was just a rhetoric,” Nasir said in a statement to KNS.
The party said that it is in fact the tactic of the government to hide its nefarious designs of suppressing every voice of Kashmir that made it arrest the NC youth leaders.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Is it the same party that had spoken volumes about accommodating voices of dissent? Today, the government has resorted to subjugating the voices of even those who are part of the democratic process of J&K,” the party Provincial President said.
The party reiterates its stand that it will bring to the fore the truth about NFSA and will continue to protest its implementation in its current form. “We are not a party of the elite and clergy class. We are from and with the poor, the downtrodden and the voiceless and will stand with and for them,” Nasir said. (KNS)
