Srinagar, Dec 18 (KNS): The residents of Naik Bagh, Abu Bakar colony Nowgam, are up in arms against the state administration for failing to construct drainage system in the area while the PWD department has also failed to make water supply available here. Accusing the state administration for ignoring their plights, the residents of Abu Bakar colony demanded immediate redressal of their grievance.While talking to KNS, the residents of the area said that they have pleaded several times before the higher officials but unfortunately their pleas were fallen into deaf ears.
The residents said that the with the drainage problem in the area, they are facing immense hardships in the area. “We have been assured several times by the authorities that they will look into the matter shortly but nothing has been done in this regard,” the residents said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The inhabitants of the area also said that they are facing acute water scarcity in the area as the authorities are yet to complete the work process of pipes and other related things.
“See the height of negligence of the state administration, in 21st century; the PWD officials are still sending their water tanks here by which we fill our buckets to use the water,” they said.
They later appealed the higher ups to look into the matter and redress their grievance at earliest. (KNS)
