Naidkhai, Sep 27 (KNS) : In a shocking display of negligence, the Naidkhai Primary Health Centre remained completely deserted on Saturday, with not a single doctor on duty, leaving patients helpless.

Despite having four doctors and 18 staff members, including paramedics, lab technicians, X-ray technicians, and casual labourers, the facility failed to serve even a single patient.

“This is unacceptable,” said a local resident. “People come here in pain, some critically ill, but no one is available to help. We cannot be treated like children of a lesser God. Every day of negligence costs lives.”

Another resident said that even the ambulance is lying idle.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"Who will rush to help in emergencies? How long will we wait for basic healthcare?”

Expressing the community’s frustration, another resident said that if the authorities don’t act soon, they will organise a peaceful protest at the hospital gate. We have been patient for too long.

Addressing the issue, BMO Hajin Dr Idrees Andrabi said that the doctors have been served notices to explain their absence within two days. "Action will be taken based on their response. We are committed to ensuring that the health centre functions efficiently and patients do not face inconvenience," he added.(KNS)
