Srinagar, Jul 25 (KNS): Residents of Chandil area of Tangmarg in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have expressed resentment against the absence of Naib Tehsildar from his office.
The residents as per Kashmir News Service (KNS) Correspondent said that the office of Naib Tehsildar is locked for one year now as the official don’t visit here, thus leaving the local residents to suffer.
They said that the people of the area used to visit Naib Tehsildar office for the redressal of their issues but now, the files are piled up and all the issues are unresolved since the office is closed for one year now.
They further stated that during the recently held ‘Back to village’ programme, the office remained open but that continued for three days only following which the office got closed again.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThey appealed the higher ups to look into the matter.
Tehsildar Tangmarg, Nisar Rasool Wani told KNS that the incumbent Naib Tehsildar has additional charge of Chandil village. “There is deficiency of employees, but the incumbent Naib Tehsildar is performing his duty from his Kunzer office,” he said.
However, he added that he will take up the matter with higher ups so that the grievance of locals will be addressed. (KNS)
