‘New Delhi must initiate sincere dialogue to address internal, external dimensions of Kashmir issue’ Urges J&K govt not to generalize ‘screening test’ issue of ReT teachers

Srinagar, Aug 5 (KNS): Asking those politicians who are trying to draw parallels between Nagaland and Kashmir problems to understand the different dimension of two issues, Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) chairman and Awami Muttahida Mahaz (AMM) leader Hakim Mohammad Yasin today said that though Nagaland peace accord is a welcome, Kashmir problem was entirely a different issue.
In a statement issued here to press he said Kashmir issue has internal as well as external dimensions. “Nagaland is an internal issue while Kashmir is international issue and two issues can’t be compared. Some politicians in Kashmir have made it a habit to issues statement on every issued without going into the details,” Hakim Yasin said.
“But yes when government of India made initiative in Nagaland it should show the same approach here. Issues can be settled through dialogue only and government of India without wasting any time should start addressing internal as well as external dimensions of Kashmir,” the PDF chairman demanded.
Hakim Yasin, who represents Khansahib constituency in the state Assembly said, government of India should show the sincerity in resolving Kashmir issue. “New Delhi should take steps to address Kashmir issue by entering into a sincer dialogue with all the stakeholders,” he said.
On the state government’s decision to conduct screening test of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers he said, “It is an unwarranted move and the authorities should only scrutinise specific cases, wherein the teachers have been appointed on the basis of conjured academic qualifications.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
“We appreciate the concern exhibited by the Hon’ble High Court in its decisions on much-needed reforms in the education sector, But the government instead of creating chaos must gather reliable information and take action against all such employees, whose academic credentials are questionable,” Hakim Yasin demanded.
Urging the government not to generalize the ‘screening test’ issue of ReT teachers, he said that only teachers with fake degrees should be shown door while rest of the teachers should be encouraged.
Expressing deep concern over the way establishment of AIIMS has been politicized by the ruling coalition, the AMM leader said such trend was dangerous for a sensitive state like J&K. “It seems government wants to divide people of two regions in the name of establishment of AIIMS which is unfortunate. The government is misleading the people of the state in the name of establishment of premier health institute. It should without any further delay clear its stand before the people.”
While supporting the demand for establishment of AIIMS in Jammu the MLA Khansahib demanded that Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) be established in Kashmir for equitable progress in the State.
