NAAC talk held at Baramulla college


Baramulla, March 04 (KNS): One-day workshop on National Assessment and Accreditation Council's (NAAC) criteria for Re-Accreditation was organised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell( IQAC) at Government Degree College Boys Baramulla on Wednesday.
Prof. Mohammad Ashraf Shah, Consultant UG-CBCS Scheme the University of Kashmir and Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Shah, former Director DIQA the University of Kashmir were the resource persons of the workshop.
During the day long workshop the resource persons gave presentations on the parameters and criterion of the NAAC for assessment and accreditation as set by the top body.
The welcome address was given
by Incharge Principal Prof. Satwant Singh followed by introduction of college and improvements regarding NAAC requirements by Prof A.M. Chalkoo, Coordinator IQAC.
Resource person Dr Manzoor Ahmad Shah in his presentation briefed about challenges under new NAAC framework, necessary data and documents required

Prof Mohammad Ashraf Shah during his presentation impressed upon putting up a self assessment mechanism by self formed committees.
In the Question-Answer sesison queries related to accreditation were raised by the faculty members.
The resource persons were presented mementoes by the College.
The workshop was moderated by Prof. Zubair Sayeed Masoodi and concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Noushad Ahmad Wani.
The worksop was sponsored under College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) and organised by IQAC head Prof A. M. Chalkoo. (KNS)
