Muzaffar Shah urges LG admin to ensure fast track probe into Hokersar encounter

Srinagar, Jan 01 (KNS): Awami National Conference (ANC) senior vice-president Muzaffar Shah Friday expressed deep concern over the killing of three youth in Hokersar encounter who according to family were “innocents” and urged Lieutenant Governor led administration to ensure fast track probe into the incident in order to expose truth in public.
According to KNS, Shah said that youth of valley are continuously being consumed in the ongoing conflict which is a greater concern for society. He said, “If claims of parents of the slain trio are factual then the incident is highly condemnable”.
“Parents of the youth killed in the said encounter disputed the claims of Government forces. LG led administration should took serious note of it and should ensure a fast track probe into the incident in order to expose truth in public domain”, ANC senior vice president said.
He said the said case shouldn’t be taken lightly like enquiries into previous “dubious” encounters were shelved after public outcry weakened. “The case must be probed at high level and on fast track basis. Whatever is behind the curtains should be exposed in a professional manner”, Shah added. (KNS)
