Srinagar June 8:(KNS)  Senior Congress Leader and Former Legislator Mohd Muzaffar Parray has drawn the attention of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla with regard to dredging of Haigam bird sanctuary.

Senior Congress leader has spoken to Deputy Commissioner Baramulla and drawn his attention to the dredging of Haigam Bird Sanctuary and Nallah Ningli, as the slit deposits have raised its bottom surface level to a largest extent, which was likely to wreak havoc in near future in the area.

The water coming from South Kashmir tributaries would get accumulated in Haigam bird sanctuary, because of its raised bottom level, besides it will inundate dozens of villages, Parray added and said timely action by the administration would go a long way in saving bird sanctuary.

It was most encouraging that Mr. Bhupinder Kumar assured for doing the needful, Senior Congress leader said. (KNS)
