Mushtaq Tantray meets LG Sinha, projects public issues

 Bandipora, May 19(KNS): A young political activist from Bandipora, Mushtaq Ahmad Tantray, met Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan and raised a set of public welfare demands related to the development of Bandipora district.

 
During the meeting, Tantray submitted a memorandum highlighting long-pending issues concerning infrastructure, health, education, sports and connectivity in the district.
 
The demands included upgradation of the Srinagar–Bandipora–Gurez road with National Highway status, development of sports grounds in rural areas, establishment of a women’s degree college in Bandipora, improvement of road connectivity in Gujjarpatti areas, and upgradation of Bandipora hospital into a district hospital.
 
According to officials, the Lieutenant Governor heard the issues raised and said that genuine public concerns would be examined. He also noted that youth participation in public affairs and awareness campaigns is important for development initiatives.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
Tantray has recently been active in local public outreach programmes under the banner “Mission Bandipora,” focusing on issues such as youth engagement, education, healthcare and drug awareness.
 
A few days earlier, he had organised a bike rally in Bandipora as part of an anti-drug awareness drive aligned with the “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir” campaign, which saw participation from local youth and social activists.
 
Tantray said that the initiative aims to raise development concerns of the district and strengthen youth participation in public issues. He said Bandipora has pending demands related to basic infrastructure and public services that need attention from authorities.
 
The Lieutenant Governor is expected to visit Bandipora in the coming days during the ongoing outreach programme under the “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir” campaign.(KNS).
