Munawar khawaja visits Mawar Says Batagund Damaged Bridge is the symbol of political victimisation

Langate, August, 29 (KNS): Qaziabad Development Initiative chairman  Mohd Munawar Khawaja today visited various villages of Mawer area wherein he met various public deputations, senior citizens and discussed various issues and problems faced by the general public of the area.

Khawaja also visited Batagund where in the people of the village highlighted the the demand of renovation of damaged bridge. The bridge was damaged by flash floods months ago and various higher officials including DDC's and BDC's visited on  spot on the day of damage but nothing had been done yet. Khawaja while taking its cognizance said that,  no developmental work is going  in the constituency and people of the area  are the biggest example of political victimization. The village Shanoo, Walrama, tereena,  shatgund, mukam, ashpora, wajhama, darbal, especially haril and monabal belt are the  victims of this damaged bridge.

 He said that the cutoff area has  population of 40000 people among them  patient if any has to cover extra  distance of 15 to 20 to reach district hospital Handwara. 

He said that the main aim of the visit was to show the ground reality to LG Administration how people are suffering. The Batagund market consists of 100 shops which also became the victims of this damaged bridge and it impacted on their livelihood. He appealed the LG and Deputy Commissioner Kupwara to  intervene  in the matter and resolve the issue at an earliest, so that public may not suffer more.(KNS)
