KULGAM, APRIL 05:(KNS)  To facilitate the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to establish a sustainable livelihood line in transport sector by providing financial assistance for purchase of new commercial small vehicles used for transporting goods (Mini trucks & Pickups) excluding three wheelers, a total of 97 vehicles have been handed over to beneficiaries under Mumkin scheme of Mission Youth in district Kulgam so-far.

 
Under the scheme, 100 percent financial assistance for purchase of small commercial vehicles was provided to the unemployed youth by Mission Youth and an amount of Rs. 80,000 or 10 percent of the on road price of the vehicle was also provided by Mission Youth as subsidy share and equal amount of Rs. 80,000 or 10 percent whichever is less was provided by the vehicle manufacturer also. 
 
These 97 beneficiaries got benefitted without paying any down payment or margin money, collaterals or Guarantor and availed the benefit of this scheme to establish a sustainable livelihood in the line of transport sector.
 
The authorities also informed that all the 97 beneficiaries were given discretion of choice of vehicle (Make and Variant).  
 
It was also given out by the authorities of the Employment Department that Under Mission Youth a total of 171 applications were approved by DLIC and 148 cases were sponsored to banks and the process to benefit other applicants is a continuous process. (KNS)
