In a meeting of Kashmir Society (KS) the Mufti Azam of J&K Mufti Bashir Ud Din’s decision in his capacity as chairman Muslim Personal Law board to appoint Syed Ahmad Farooqi as Imam of Hazratbal was fully endorsed and appreciated by Kashmir Society members, a statement of the KS said.
“Similarly, appointment of Fida Hussain Farooqi son of late Imam of Hazratbal as naib Imam has been considered as astute decision, as both are been respected in the entire Kashmir valley. In a meeting of KS the chairman Khwaja Farooq Renzushah who is also chief advisor of Muslim Personal Law Board said that Mufti Azam’s decision has been received with full honor by entire KS,” he said.
