Seeks Jobs under SRO for kins of those who lost their lives ; Compensation, Rehabilitation for affected families

Poonch May 11 (KNS) : National Conference Member of Parliament from ( Anantnag-Rajouri) segment, Mian Altaf Ahmed Sunday visited several areas of Poonch district those affected by the cross border shelling to assess the situation.

In a statement issued, Mian Altaf conducted a visit of the border areas in district Poonch to assess the aftermath of the recent cross-border shelling which tragically claimed several innocent lives and left many others injured besides several families homeless. During his visit, the MP took stock of the current situation and met with the affected residents, whose houses were damaged in the firing.
Accompanied by MLA Surankote Ch Mohd Akram , MP Mian Altaf also paid a visit to the District hospital Poonch and enquired about the condition of those injured in recent incidents and asked the hospital authorities to provide best possible medical care to the injured people .Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelMP Mian Altaf demanded that the kin’s of those who lost their lives should be given government jobs under SRO besides the government should ensure compensation and rehabilitation to those families affected during the cross border shelling. “ I urge the LG administration and the government to ensure the immediate compensation and rehabilitation of affected families and the family member of those who died should be given government job under SRO “ Mian Altaf as per statement said. “The affected families should be given financial assistance to reconstruct their damaged homes. People in areas like Poonch, Rajouri have suffered terribly and need the government’s full support,” he added.
Mian Altaf welcomed the ceasefire between India and Pakistan and called it a bid relief to the people particularly living along borders . (KNS)
