New Delhi, August 13 (KNS) : Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid thursday met the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, in the presence of the Secretary, Civil Aviation in Parliament Chamber and discussed a range of issues concerning Srinagar Airport, particularly its development, infrastructure, aesthetics and other long-pending concerns.
According to a statement issued, , MP Engineer Rashid also strongly raised the issues being faced by the Srinagar Airport Taxi Union and sought the intervention of the Union Civil Aviation Ministry for their resolution.
Following the intervention and request of MP Engineer Rashid, the Ministry directed the concerned authorities, including the Director, Srinagar Airport/AAI, to hold a meeting with the representatives of the Taxi Union and address their genuine concerns.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
In compliance with the directions and following the intervention of MP Engineer Rashid, a meeting was subsequently held between the Taxi Union representatives and the concerned authorities at Srinagar Airport.
Engineer Rashid has stressed that the issues of local stakeholders associated with Srinagar Airport must be addressed in a fair and time-bound manner, while ensuring the airport's development and services keep pace with the growing needs of the people of Kashmir.(KNS)
