Srinagar, Mar 16 (KNS): Parwan-e-Willayat president, Moulana Sibti Mohmad Shabir Qumi Saturday condemned the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami and summoning of Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq by National investigation Agency (NIA).
Qumi in a statement issued to KNS said that leadership and people of Kashmir are being harassed for raising their voices, adding that NIA wants to question anyone; they can do so in the Valley itself.
“Government of India recently banned the socio-religious organization Jamaat-e-Islami and detained its top leadership. JKLF Chief Muhammad Yasin Malik was also sent to Kotbalwal Jail, Jammu after he was booked under the Public Safety Act,” he said, adding that the authorities were harassing the religious leadership and preachers, which would further deteriorate the situation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
