Srinagar, Jan 01 (KNS): Welcoming the resumption of dialogue between India and Pakistan, President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir, General Moosa Friday said that the efforts made by the Prime Ministers of two neighboring countries expressed their seriousness of better ties.
In a statement to KNS, Moosa said that the leadership of two countries is capable enough to take any kind of decision vis-à-vis the issues confronting the two countries. “The seriousness of Pakistan Prime Minister, Mohammad Nawaz Sharief & Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reflects the desire for a peaceful resolution of all the impending issues between the two countries for lasting peace in South Asia, Which at times brought them to the brim of a nuclear war,” Moosa said.
While congratulating both the Prime Ministers for taking the better ties to a record high in the shortest possible span of time, Moosa said, “Although we acknowledge that the Kashmir issue has been the mother of all ills between the two countries sharing borders and also acting as custodians of an unwanted line of control across Jammu & Kashmir, no resolution can be derived from this kind of dialogues without the active, constructive and meaningful participation of bonafide Kashmir representatives.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
Moosa further hoped that the leadership of the countries would catch the bull (Kashmir issue) by the horns. “People of Jammu & Kashmir, strongly believe to support and would also extend hand of cooperation in the process of making strong bridges between the two countries,” Moosa said.
Moosa said they believe that India and Pakistan leadership need to cool down. “In the process of cooling down the atmospherics, the people of j&k do hereby extend heartfelt desire to invite both the prime Ministers of India & Pakistan to have their joint sitting in Kashmir, keeping in view the essence of Kashmir dispute pending between these two great neighboring nations. Therefore we accord our invitation to both of them & would play hosts to extend our traditional hospitality for the larger interests of the peace in the region and thus across the globe,” he said.
Moosa in a statement appealed to both the prime Ministers of India and Pakistan to make the dialogue Kashmir centric and time bound and expressed his desire that proceedings of such meetings and summits would be monitored by the champions of the peace of the world. (KNS)
