Srinagar, Aug 06 (KNS): ‘When Things Went South’, an interesting anthology of four thrilling novellas by a young writer, Moosa Saleem’ was Sunday released here in presence of book lovers and readers.
The book begins with a gripping story titled ‘Silent Obsession’, which revolves around the protagonist, Vikrant, who is faced with two choices, killing his wife or living the life of a criminal.
The second novella, ‘In Too Deep’, centres around a high-school teacher who kidnaps a student and consequently, all hell breaks loose. In the third story, ‘Maqaam’, a struggling rock band in a Muslim region is trying to make their own way. The fourth story, ‘Skin Mask’, deals with the mysterious killing of a wealthy businessman, who is found dead in the street post-midnight.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Moosa Saleem, is a filmmaker and a music composer from Kashmir, but is now settled in Mumbai. He made his first feature film at the young age of twenty. His work has been aired on the popular music television channels like VH1 and MTv. He has also worked under an internationally acclaimed director Kujtim Cashku in Albania. Recently, he worked as an assistant director in a Balaji Production film which was entirely shot in Kashmir.
The function, which was organized by Parsa Foods Srinagar, was attended by academicians, writers, poets and journalists.
A question answer session was also held in which Moosa talked about his book and also his journey from conflict-torn Kashmir region to a young filmmaker in Mumbai. (KNS)
