Molvi Imran Ansari Condemn Communal Remarks by MLA Vikram Randhawa

Srinagar, Feb 13 (KNS) ; Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) General Secretary and President of the All J&K Shia Association, Molvi Imran Ansari, has strongly condemned the recent statement made by MLA Vikram Randhawa alleging that “Kashmiri Muslims have encroached 90% of JDA land.”

In a statement issued today, Molvi Imran Ansari said that such remarks are deeply hurtful, irresponsible, and unacceptable. “As an Indian Muslim, I find this comment extremely painful. It is unfortunate that a governance issue like encroachment is being deliberately given a communal colour,” he said.

He questioned the intent behind repeatedly framing administrative matters in terms of Hindu vs Muslim or Jammu vs Kashmir. “Encroachment is encroachment. It has no religion. Are we to believe that across India, all encroachments are done only by Muslims? Such sweeping generalisations are unfair and divisive,” he added.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Molvi Ansari emphasized that irresponsible statements of this nature only poison the atmosphere and weaken the social fabric of Jammu & Kashmir. He stated that leaders have a responsibility to promote harmony and address governance issues without targeting any community.

He also appreciated JKPC President Sajad Gani Lone for firmly objecting to these remarks on the floor of the Assembly. “An apology to the people of Kashmir is the least that should be offered for hurting sentiments and attempting to communalise a governance issue,” he said.

JKPC reiterates its commitment to upholding communal harmony, constitutional values, and the dignity of all citizens, and urges all public representatives to act with responsibility and restraint in public discourse. (KNS)
