Mohammad Yaseen Churisaaz quits JKPC, joins BJP

 Jammu, Feb 13 (KNS): Mohammad Yaseen Churisaaz on Friday resigned from the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference (JKPC) and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party headquarters here.

Churisaaz, who was serving as Senior Vice District President of the JKPC in Srinagar, said he had stepped down from the basic membership of the party after “careful and thoughtful consideration”.

He was inducted into the BJP in the presence of senior party leaders, including its Jammu and Kashmir general secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul and other functionaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Churisaaz thanked the BJP leadership for welcoming him and said he would work to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He said his decision was guided by the larger interest of public service and development in Jammu and Kashmir, and expressed his commitment to work for peace and prosperity in the Union Territory.

Churisaaz also conveyed his gratitude to the leadership and workers of the JKPC for their support during his tenure in the party.

Political observers described the move as a notable development amid ongoing political activity in the Union Territory.(KNS).
