Unveils lifestyle exhibition ‘Spring Fiesta’: Sanjita Dogra

JAMMU, March 19:(KNS)  More than seven years of Modi Government at the Centre have transformed the lives of women in the country by augmenting their social and political rights besides ensuring them financial security, judicial strength and other rights at par with men.

This was stated by Priya Sethi, National Executive Member, BJP, and former minister .
 
Both former minister Priya Sethi and, J&K BJP Mahila Morcha President, Sanjita Dogra today inaugurated Spring Fiesta, an exhibition on lifestyle, organized by Divya Abrol at Hotel Zone By the Park in Jammu.
 
They were accompanied by BJP MM leaders, Geetanjali Mahajan, Neha, Mahajan,Urvashi Mahajan
Anita Gandotrra, Savita Anand & others BJP National Executive Priya Sethi on the occasion, said that the basic principle of women’s empowerment is that there should be no bias based on gender which the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ensured to a large extent. She highlighted the role played by the PM Modi in upliftment of Muslim women by way of reforms made by the BJP Government.
 
“Modi Government has always given priority to women empowerment and for that various welfare measures and schemes for women folk have been launched by the Modi Government like", Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Sukanya Samriddh Account, amendments in Maternity Act, Abrogation of Article35A, Poshan Maah (month) for ensuring a nutritious India, stringent POCSO law, freedom from triple divorce for women, 8 crore Ujjwala beneficiaries, decisions like sanitary pad in Re 1etc shows the commitment by our government to the protection of woman power and securing the future children of the country,” Priya Sethi said.
 
The former Minister lauded the efforts of organizer Divya Abrol to make it one stop shop for the ladies to fulfill all their needs under one roof. The exhibition is consisting of dozens of stalls comprising apparels, handbags, Juittis, jewellery, cosmetics, nailart, food stalls, kids corner, books, home décor and much more which are managed by talented women entrepreneurs where handmade and hand crafted things are on display.
 
Sethi asserted that for women empowerment financial independence is necessary and Women are enterprising, they don't need to be taught, only need to be given opportunities to perform.
 
Sanjite Dogra, in her address, said that after abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, women will enjoy full rights and it will end gender discrimination as all other rights of women marrying outside Jammu and Kashmir to now be fully protected; all such women will now retain full and legal rights on land." She said that government has taken a number of steps to strengthen the cause of women’s empowerment. “From Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao to improved health and education facilities and a range of initiatives to improve both their lives and their long-term prospects, the government’s actions have touched a chord with the nation’s women.
