Srinagar, Dec 09 (KNS): At least 25 officials working in different department were Friday found absent after Member of Legislative Council (MLC) and PDP’s senior leader, Yasir Reshi along with some officers conducted a surprise visit to several departments.
According to KNS correspondent, Reshi along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Khurshid Ahmad and Tehsildar Sumbal conducted a surprise visit today to Tehsil headquarter Sumbal where they found at least 25 officials absent from their duties while some of the offices were found locked.
Sources said that the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora was directed to formulate a committee to investigate as to why the officials remained absent from their duties.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“We have issued an explanation letter to the government employees who were found absent today,” Reshi told KNS.
He said that they visited scores of government offices including BDO office, R&B, irrigation and other where almost 25 officials were found absent while some of the offices were locked.
“I have directed DC to formulate a committee to ask the government employees to come up with the explanation in a week period as to why they remained absent from their duties,” he said.
He said that the people who had visited the offices for work were waiting outside the offices while the offices remained closed thereby left the visiting people to suffer. (KNS)
