Srinagar, 19 Jun (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference North Zone President and MLA Uri Dr. Sajad Shafi Friday urged the administration to make comprehensive arrangements for mourners in Uri and other areas in North Kashmir during the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram with special focus on the observance of Ashura.

In a statement issued here, , Dr. Uri emphasized the need to ensure the availability of all essential facilities, including uninterrupted power and water supply, proper sanitation, healthcare services, traffic management, and other civic amenities along procession routes and at congregation points.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He stressed that the administration should work in close coordination with local committees and stakeholders to facilitate the smooth and peaceful conduct of religious gatherings and processions. Dr. Sajjad said that adequate arrangements would help devotees observe the sacred occasion with dignity and without inconvenience.

The MLA expressed hope that the concerned departments would take timely measures and ensure that all necessary preparations are put in place well ahead of the significant religious days of Muharram, particularly the Day of Ashura.(KNS)
