Gulmarg, Jan 23 (KNS) ; MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah on Friday undertook an extensive tour of various areas of the Gulmarg constituency following the recent snowfall to assess the ground situation. During the visit, the MLA took stock of snow clearance operations, road connectivity, and the restoration of essential services.
MLA Shah visited key locations across Tangmarg, Kunzer and adjoining areas, where he reviewed the progress of road clearance being carried out by concerned departments. He interacted with field officials and directed them to ensure timely and effective clearance of snow so that normal movement of people and vehicles is restored at the earliest.
The MLA also reviewed the status of essential services including electricity, water supply, and healthcare facilities. He emphasized the need for close coordination among departments to minimize inconvenience to the public and ensure uninterrupted supply of basic amenities, especially in vulnerable and far-flung areas.

While interacting with locals, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah assured the people that the administration is fully geared up to deal with the situation. He appealed to residents not to panic and informed them that men and machinery have been deployed on the ground to address all issues arising due to the snowfall. He further assured that restoration work is being monitored on a priority basis.
The Hon’ble MLA also instructed officials to remain accessible to the public and respond promptly to any emergency situations. He reiterated his commitment to stand with the people of Gulmarg constituency in all circumstances and to ensure their safety and well-being during the harsh winter conditions. (KNS)
