Muslim League Jammu Kashmir has expressed serious concern over the growing activities of army in the valley especially in south Kashmir were dozens of villages are being cordoned and common people are disrespected in the name of crackdowns and searches.
Muslim League spokesman, Mohammad Rafiq Ganai said in a statement to KNS, that forces have started a fresh onslaught on the Muslims of Kashmir which is aimed at harassing them on one or the other pretext. He said that the basic aim of the Indian forces is to punish the Muslims for their continuous anti-India stance.
Muslim League spokesman said that in the ongoing month of holy Ramadan nocturnal raids have become order of the day. He said that dozens of youth have been arrested in Islamabad, Pulwama, Srinagar, Baramulla, Sopore,Tral and the arrest spree is being extended after every passing day.
He said that even pro-freedom people are tortured physically and mentally in the police stations the latest example of which is of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader Mir Hafizullah of Islamabad who is being denied even food and water.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Strongly condemning the police atrocities in and outside police stations Muslim League, spokesman said such tactics are increasing even concern expressed by different human rights bodies time and again.
He said that hundreds of youth have been put behind the bars and residential houses are being raided to arrest more. It seems that the so called rulers of Jammu Kashmir are on path to break all record in this record. In the old city only, 25 youths have been arrested during nocturnal and pre-dawn raids in the past few days. Almost the same number of youths has been detained in Islamabad and around as well. Muslim League also expressed its concern over the arrest of three labourers in Sangrawani area of Pulwama district by the Indian army, some six days back, whose whereabouts are not known since then.
