Srinagar, March 10 (KNS): Some mischievous elements have circulated a fake news “colleges in Srinagar shut due to Coronavirus threat” and attributed it to Kashmir News Service (KNS).
This is not the first attempt by some elements to tarnish the image of KNS which is respected for putting the facts and clarity in news stories.
KNS has informed the police and senior civil officials regarding the news item and falsely attributing it to us. We are very hopeful that law enforcement agencies will identify the culprits at earliest.
“This is not a matter of a single news item; it is an attack on our policy- news with facts and accuracy and the institution which has from day one believed in health journalism,” MD KNS Muhammad Aslam said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Almost a year ago, KNS had to file a written complaint no 177/KNS-19 in the office of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar against some page administrators who were using the name of KNS.
KNS appeals general public and officials to contact our office at M-5 Govt quarters Magarmal bagh, Srinagar in case some mischievous elements try to use our name for circulating fake news. We can also be reached at 0192-2477864, 9906526338.
