Srinagar, Nov 30 (KNS): Welcoming the statement of the United Nations, Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon that the leadership of India and Pakistan should hold dialogue to resolve their difference, Hurriyat (M) Monday described the statement as positive and said that Hurriyat (M) has always maintained that dialogue is the only way of resolving the differences between the two nuclear neighbors with strained relationship for almost past seven decades.
The statement said hostile and bitter relations between India and Pakistan was a result of the long-pending Kashmir dispute and true peace and stability can’t be achieved in the South Asian region until the dispute was not resolved in accordance with the wishes of the people.
The conglomerate called upon the United Nations to play its role to resolve the Kashmir dispute and push the leadership of the two countries to initiate a meaningful dialogue in order to resolve the vexed Kashmir issue and all other pending issues between the two countries.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Meanwhile, senior Hurriyat (M) leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza visited Wapzan, Bijbehara to pay tributes to the 16-year-old Sartaj Ahmad Lone, who was martyred by Indian forces last week and expressed sympathy with his parents and other members of bereaved family.
On the occasion, the Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq spoke over telephone to the parents of the martyred youth and prayed to the Almighty Allah to accept the martyrdom of young Sartaj.
Hurriyat (M) Chairman said the martyrdom of Sartaj and thousands of other youth like him are the real treasure of the ongoing resistance movement and it was these sacrifices which would one day give people their right to self-determination and let them live in free air.
Mirwaiz prayed for granting forbearance to the bereaved family of the martyred youth and prayed for granting a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous to the martyred youth Sartaj. (KNS)
