‘He was detained in his Nigeen residence’

Srinagar, May 31 (KNS): Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq, was Tuesday released from house detention.
Mirwaiz Umar was detained in his Nigeen residence by authorities ahead of a strike call on last Thursday. The strike call was given by both factions of Hurriyat and JKLF against the proposed “Sanik and Pandit Colonies in Kashmir”.

Chairman if Jammu and Kashmir Liberation front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has been shifted to Srinagar’s central jail while Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani continue to remain under continuous house detention. (KNS)
