Srinagar, Apr 11 (KNS): The state administration on Monday placed Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq under house detention.
Hurriyat (M) spokesman, Shahid-ul-Islam told KNS that the chairman was put under house detention at his Nigeen residence at 07:00pm. “We condemn the decision of authorities. Curbs on our leaders won’t deter us from fighting for our rights,” Mirwaiz said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Mirwaiz had called for a complete strike on April 12 against the harassment and assault on Kashmir students studying outside the state and the desecration of martyrs’ graveyard in Karimabad area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. (KNS)
