Special Prayers to be held for Rain and Relief from Heatwave

Continuing the centuries-old tradition of the Mirwaizeen, Mirwaiz Dr Umar Farooq will deliver a sermon on Youm-e-Ashoora at Alam Sahib Narwara Srinagar, at 4:30 pm highlighting its virtues and the philosophy of Karbala, and lead collective prayers. Special prayers will be held to seek rain and an end to the unprecedented heat wave and prolonged dry spell.(KNS)
