Mirwaiz led delegation leaves for Delhi to attend Eid Milan

On the invitation of Pakistani High Commissioner in India Abdul Basit a two member Hurriyat delegation led by Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq including Moulana Masroor Abbas Ansari Tuesday left for New Delhi to participate in the Eid Milan party being organized by the Pakistan High Commission.
“On the occasion, the delegation would be meeting the diplomats of Pakistan in New Delhi and discuss with them the present political situation of Jammu and Kashmir besides apprising them about the emotions and aspirations of the people of Kashmir with regard to the Kashmir issue and its resolution,” a spokesman of Hurriyat (M) said in a statement to KNS.
“The delegation would stress upon that All Parties Hurriyat Conference has always advocated for cordial relations between India and Pakistan, adding, however, without making the resolution of Kashmir dispute, a priority issue any dialogue process was not going to lead to the resolution of other issues pending between the two nations,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“The APHC Chairman would also convey the long established stand of APHC that lingering Kashmir dispute was the main source of confrontation and tension in South Asia and taking up this issue on priority basis, in an Indo-Pak dialogue process, would make the resolution of other issues relatively easier. He would further stress upon that any dialogue regarding the resolution of Kashmir issue was not going to bear fruit without taking the genuine leadership of Kashmir on board,” the spokesman added.
