Srinagar, Sep 10 (KNS): Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Saturday expressed grief and deep anguish over the fresh killings of three more civilians Abdul Qayoom Wangnoo of Aali Kadal Srinagar, Sajad Ahmad Sheikh of Ganoopora Shopian and Yawar Ahmad of Botengoo Islamabad by the Indian occupation forces.
Calling the cold bloodied murder of the three slain civilians as manifestations of naked and brute aggression by a totalitarian regime that was at war against unarmed inhabitants whom it has kept captive and suppressed for their territory, Mirwaiz who was quoted by Hurriyat (M) spokesman in a statement issued to KNS said that the silence of the international community has emboldened the Indian state further which is extremely painful.
While paying glowing tributes to the young martyrs Mirwaiz said that the nation owes it to these brave men and to their supreme sacrifice of life that the great cause of freedom and justice for Kashmir be carried on by all towards till the attainment of these lofty ideals.
Stressing that the people of Kashmir had been striving for their right to self determination since 1931 in general and since 1989 in particular by offering all kinds of sacrifices and enduring all kinds of hardships the APHC Chairman expressed hope that inshallah these sacrifices will bear fruit and Kashmiris will see the dawn of freedom provided we stay united , firm in our resolve and patient
Meanwhile incarcerated senior Hurriyat leader Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, while terming Kashmir situation as extremely worrisome, paid glowing tributes to the Batengoo youth, Yawar Ahmad and others said government forces was playing holi with the blood of Kashmiri Muslims, which is becoming unbearable by the day
Condemning the barbaric action on the peaceful protest demonstrations, marches and Azadi rallies in the length and width of Kashmir and every nook and corner of the Valley, the APHC spokesman said indiscriminate use of pellet guns, PAVA shells, tear gas shells, stun grenades and pepper grenades was resulting in injuries to over 200 persons while excessive forces was also used on the funeral procession of the martyred youth, Yawar Ahmad and government forces broke window panes and damaged and ransacked articles inside the Masjid and thrashed Nimazis at Heevan Narwara besides carrying out random arrests of dozens of youth.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Meanwhile, people continued to stage protest demonstrations and marches in various areas of Srinagar and Hurriyat and Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) leader Muhammad Shafi Khan and a large number of Hurriyat activists participated in the massive protest rally at Noorbagh, Wangapora against state terrorism and against the continued incarceration of the Mirwaiz and other resistance leaders and called for the immediate release of resistance leaders, activists and youth.
They also called upon people to implement the protest programme given by the unified resistance leadership in letter and spirit. (KNS)
