Mirwaiz Expresses Grief Over Demise of Well-Wishers and Religious Scholars

Srinagar, July 22 (KNS): Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of several respected individuals from downtown Srinagar, many of whom shared long-standing ties with the Mirwaiz family and the historic Jama Masjid.

In a statement issued to KNS, the Mirwaiz extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls.

Mirwaiz visited the families of Abdul Qayoom Zargar, son of Muhammad Amin Zargar and brother of Jama Masjid Traders Federation President Javed Ahmad Zargar; Muhammad Sultan Shah of Chandapora, whose mother had passed away; and Riyaz Ahmad Siraj, son of Haji Ghulam Mohiuddin Siraj of Tajgari Mohalla Nowhatta, whose brother had passed away. Meanwhile, Mirwaiz also expressed deep grief over the passing of Maulana Muhammad Yaqub Rabbani, founder and administrator of Jamia Darul Uloom Siddiqia, Banihal. Paying rich tribute, he acknowledged the late scholar’s valuable contributions in the fields of religion, education, and social welfare.

Additionally, Mirwaiz mourned the death of a long-time well-wisher of the Mirwaiz family, Farooq Ahmad Mir of Naribal, Ahamd Akadal. He prayed for his forgiveness and strength for the bereaved family.

Mirwaiz conveyed that the loss of such devoted individuals is deeply felt, and he stands in solidarity with their families during this difficult time.(KNS)
