Srinagar, Nov 07 (KNS): Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday expressed grave concern over the escalation in cease fire violations resulting in casualties on both sides of the ceasefire line.
In a statement issued to KNS, Mirwaiz said that these incidents shift focus from the actual issue of Kashmir and divert all attention to the cease fire line and borders besides causing distress to the people living in these areas.
Hurriyat (M) chairman said that Government of India should give up the Doval doctrine viz-a-viz Pakistan as it is very dangerous for the region and greatly increases the chances of a full-fledged war between the two countries which will benefits none.
He said aggressiveness and predominance as a state policy both with regard to the Kashmir problem and in dealing with neighbors can bear no fruit and is destructive for India itself in the long run.
Mirwaiz said resolution of disputes in a respectable and amicable manner based on principles of justice and humanity is the most assured way of ensuring peace and stability in the region and improved relations between the neighbours
Hurriyat (M) chief reiterated that the resolution of Kashmir dispute once and for all is way of doing so.

People of Jammu and Kashmir should be initiated forthwith and an immediate stop should be put to hostilities between the two countries and against the people of Kashmir.
Meanwhile Hurriyat (M) spokesman paid rich tributes to Waseem Khanday and Saddam Mir who were martyred in an encounter with forces in Shopian, saying that the sacrifice of life rendered by our youth will not go waste.
The spokesman condemned the raids, arrests, and ransacking of residences and arresting of 10 more innocent youth in police raids in south Kashmir, and human rights violations carried by government forces in other parts of Kashmir.
He also denounced the threats by government forces to local population in Aanchaar Soura, 90 Feet Road and adjoining areas and their harassment and by the government to suppress the sentiments of freedom-loving Kashmiris. (KNS)
