Srinagar, Sep 08 (KNS): Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Mohammad Umar Farooq, while addressing a function organised by Jamia Syeda Hafsa Lil-Banat at Hyderpora in connection with the completion of Hifz-e-Qur’an by girl students, congratulated the Hafizat, their parents, teachers and the institution.

Mirwaiz said memorising the Qur’an is a great blessing, but the relationship with the Qur’an must go beyond memorisation. “We must understand its message, reflect upon it and allow it to shape our character and lives,” he said.

Highlighting the importance of religious education for girls, he said a knowledgeable and grounded woman has a profound influence on her family and society—as a daughter, wife, mother, teacher and Alimah—and can play a vital role in guiding the next generation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Mirwaiz also stressed the need to reconnect children with Masajid, saying they should be welcomed with affection and patience. He said mosques should become centres of learning, guidance and community life, with Qur’an and Seerah classes, programmes for women and spaces where young people can ask questions freely.

He urged the students to see Hifz as the beginning of their journey with the Qur’an and encouraged them to study its meaning, Tafsir and Seerah, while also pursuing contemporary education and serving society.(KNS)
