He said all human rights bodies and members of international community should take notice of this situation and act effectively to end the atrocities being committed on the people of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, on the directions of the Mirwaiz a protest demonstration in which hundreds of people participated and which was jointly led by Moulana Syed Ahmad Naqshbandi (Imam-e-Jamia), Hurriyat leaders Ghulam Nabi Zaki and Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi was held soon after the Friday congregational prayers at Jamia Masjid Srinagar. Terming the plans of the government of setting up of Sainik colonies, separate Kashmiri Pandit colonies, permanent structures for non-state subject laborers and the proposed industrial policy as anti-Kashmiri, the participants carrying banners and ply cards besides raising pro-Islam and pro-Azadi slogans protested against these plans of the government.
Meanwhile, commenting on the report in ‘The Telegraph’, a prominent Indian newspaper, about the Government of India’s plan of setting up of notorious and infamous Guantanamo Bay type prison in Kashmir, which according to the report, the coalition government in the state has already agreed to, APHC spokesman said this was a matter of grave concern for the freedom loving people of Kashmir and the plan was meant to implement the aggressive RSS agenda in Kashmir.
The spokesman said that these designs were being made to break the will of the resistance leadership and freedom-loving people of Kashmir and recalled that even the United States had to close down the infamous Guantanamo Bay prison due to the strong protest against it raised by the human rights bodies and the influential members of the international community.
Meanwhile spokesman has paid glowing tributes to the two Kashmiri youth Mehraj Ahmad Bhat of Andargam Pattan and Adil Ahmad of Brat Sopore who were martyred during a gunfight with the government forces at Kunzar Tangmarg. (KNS)
