Mir Qayoom seeks compensation for hailstorm hit orchardist, farmers in Pulwama

Srinagar, Jun 22 (KNS): People's Democratic Front General Secretary and senior political leader from Pulwama Mir Abdul Qayoom has appealed the governor administration to compensate the orchardists and farmers whose crops were damaged duty to Friday's hailstorm in Pulwama.

Qayoom said that as per reports and orchardists, apple and other fruit crop have suffered huge damage which has put farmers in distress.

He said that the governments have thus far failed to implement compensation policy in the state.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

"Had the compensation policy been implemented, orchardists and framer who suffer losses due to natural calamities need to to shout out their lungs out," he said.

He said that the district administration should assess the damage and crop loss and recommend swift payment of compensation to the governor administration. (KNS)
