Congratulating the students from J&K who qualified the prestigious Indian Administrative Service Examination, former minister and chairman Democratic Nationalist Party Ghulam Hassan Mir Tuesday said such students should act as “torch bearers” to others in the state.
“If people of Jammu and Kashmir really feel they have an edge over people of other states in mental faculties, then they have to take lead in such examinations. He said he will be happier if about 100 students from J&K figure every year in the selection list of UPSC’s Common Entrance Test. “Not only IAS, I want our students to top other prestigious examinations like examinations for IITs, IIMs and others,” he said. (KNS)
