Minor girl injured in leopard attack in Uri village

Uri, July 13 (KNS): A minor girl was injured after being attacked by a leopard in Choolan Kalsan locality of Uri in Baramulla district on Wednesday evening. 

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that the girl identified as Sameera Javid, daughter of Javid Ahmed of Khater Choolan Kalsan village was injured when leopard attacked her outside her home. 

He said that the girl was playing outside her home, when leopard appeared and attacked her. 

He added that she was rescued by her family members and other people present around and was shifted to GMC Baramulla for treatment, where she is stated to be out of danger.

Earlier last month, leopard killed three teenagers, following which teams of wildlife department have been continuously trying to trace the animal. (KNS)
