Ministry of Panchayati Raj to Hold Regional Workshop on Panchayat-led Service Delivery in Srinagar

 New Delhi, June 22 (KNS) : The Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) is set to organise a regional workshop titled 'Seva Se Samriddhi: Panchayat-led Service Delivery' in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on June 23, an official statement said on Monday.

 
The workshop will be inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Javid Ahmad Dar, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, J&K; Vivek Bharadwaj, Secretary, MoPR; Palka Sahni, Joint Secretary, MoPR; and Mohammad Aijaz Asad, Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, J&K, will also be present on the occasion, the statement said.
 
Organised in collaboration with the Common Services Centre Special Purpose Vehicle (CSC-SPV) and the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, J&K, the workshop is part of the ministry's ongoing series of initiatives aimed at improving service delivery and strengthening 'Ease of Living' in rural India through empowered and accountable Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).
 
The workshop will bring together Panchayat functionaries, elected representatives, and Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), along with officials from seven states – Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh, the ministry said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
Representatives from civil society, academic institutions, and organisations working in rural technology and digital public infrastructure will also participate, contributing diverse perspectives on last-mile governance, it added.
 
High-performing Gram Panchayats and outstanding Common Service Centres (CSCs) from the participating states will be felicitated during the workshop, the statement said.
 
Deliberations will focus on strengthening Panchayat-led service delivery through digital transformation, citizen participation, and improved accessibility of public services at the grassroots level, it added.
 
Panel discussions, technical sessions, and state-level experience-sharing sessions will provide a structured platform for inter-state knowledge exchange and the dissemination of scalable governance models across the country. (KNS).
