Army launches massive man hunt

Kupwara, Aug 12 (KNS): Army soldier of 17 (JAKLI) injured in militant attack in Thayan Kalaroos in frontier district Kupwara
An army soldier was injured after militants attack army camp in forest area of Kalaroos in frontier Kupwara district of north Kashmir on Friday late night.
According to sources told our correspondent that a group of militants attacked 53 INF brigade rare camp post No 16 which is located in upper belt of Kalaroos forests along LoC.
“The indiscriminate fire continued for at least 10 minutes, the troops retaliated the fire which resulted a brief clash”, he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
During the incident, a soldier of 17 (JAKLI) Anil Randhawa was injured and has been shifted to military hospital Drugmulla.
Soon after the attack, the army launched a massive man hunt with the help of reinforcement of Para commandos on all sides adjoining the camp, sources said.
The areas that have been cordoned include Upper belt of Kalaroos forests and Kunnad, Kani Behak, Manigah, Chat forest areas of Batpora Haihama.
The attack comes only three days ahead of 15 August, marking 70th independence day of India. (KNS)
