Srinagar, Aug 07(KNS) : Another militant who had escaped during a gunfight that broke out between militants and security forces in the Manchowa area of Central Kashmir's Budgam district, has been arrested in Khrew area of pulwama. 

Inspector General of police(IGP), Kashmir Vijay Kumar told Kashmir News service (KNS), that the militant who escaped from encounter site, after following a lead, has been arrested in Khrew. "A pistol & a grenade has been recovered from his possession. Truck driver also arrested," the IGP Kashmir said. 

Earlier, as per police an unidentified militant was killed during a gunfight that broke out between militants and security forces in the Manchowa after it was immediately cordoned off after security forces. 

"As they approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter," he said, adding that an unidentified militant has been killed, while Security forces have also recovered an AK-47 and a pistol from him.(KNS)
