Srinagar, Oct 08 (KNS): A militant was on Friday evening killed while another one escaped from the spot during a chance encounter in Srinagar, police said here.

The Police said that militants fired upon a police team in Srinagar and during the ensuing chance encounter one militant was killed while another one escaped.

The police also said that arm and ammunition were recovered from the spot and identification was being ascertained.

“Terrorists fired upon Srinagar Police team. Police also retaliated. During ensuing chance #encounter, one terrorist got neutralised but one escaped. Arms & ammunition recovered. Identification being ascertained,” Kashmir zone police Tweeted. (KNS)
