Srinagar, Aug 25 (KNS) Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Tuesday reviewed Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi arrangements at Jenab Sahib Soura and Dargah Hazratbal, and directed officials to expedite ongoing development works at the two shrines.
Dr Darakshan Andrabi, accompanied by the Board's engineering team and administrators, inspected devotee facilities, cleanliness, and overall preparedness at both sites. She instructed the concerned teams to ensure timely completion of all works and provide the best possible amenities for pilgrims.
Later, she chaired a high-level meeting with Waqf officials and representatives of various government departments at Dargah Hazratbal to assess inter-departmental coordination for the Milad celebrations, emphasising a "fool-proof comprehensive preparedness system" for seamless facilitation.

Speaking to reporters, Dr Andrabi said all arrangements at shrines and mosques under the Board have been finalised. "The Prophet's message of peace guides us towards a peaceful humanity. Let's all propagate this message of inclusiveness and brotherhood around us," she said.
She also offered prayers for peace, prosperity, and tranquillity in Jammu and Kashmir and the country at large, and appealed to the public to pray for collective well-being.
Earlier in the day, Dr Andrabi visited Jenab Sahib Soura and took stock of the ongoing works there, supervising the progress in person. (KNS)
