Srinagar Nov 19 (KNS): The Medical Faculty Association (MFA) of Government Medical College and Dental College Srinagar has announced the results of its elections for the 2025–26 term.

According to the notification issued by the Returning Officer, Prof. (Dr.) Junaid S. Wani, the following faculty members have been elected to key positions.

Dr. Sajad Bashir Khanday, Professor of Ophthalmology, has been elected as President, while Dr. Riyaz Ahmad Lone, Associate Professor of Physiology, will serve as Vice President.

The post of General Secretary has been secured by Dr. Syed Sajad Hussain, Associate Professor of Pharmacology. Dr. Ashiq Hussain Parrey, Assistant Professor of Medicine, has been elected as Joint Secretary, and Dr. Nisar Ahmad Naikoo, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry, will serve as Treasurer.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

For faculty representation, Dr. Khurshid Ahmad Dar, Professor of Chest Medicine, has been elected as the Professor Representative.

Two Associate Professors—Dr. Javed Ahmad Khan (Anatomy) and Dr. Junain Nabi (Psychiatry)—have been chosen as Associate Professor Representatives.

From the Assistant Professor category, Dr. Altaf Hussain Malik, Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at GDC, has been elected as their representative.

The newly elected body has pledged to work with sincerity and dedication for the welfare of the faculty and the smooth functioning of the institution.
