Srinagar, July 05 (KNS): Meteorological department on Tuesday predicted widespread light to moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that widespread light to moderate rain is likely to occur in J&K during the next 24 hours which will break the current heat wave.
He also said that there's already lots of water in local streams and rivers, due to melting of glaciers and addition of rain water in these streams often generate flash floods and mudslide.
He advised the people to remain cautious and avoid venturing near such places which are vulnerable to flash floods. (KNS)
